| Knowledge is power and when your buying a Cony truck you need to consider the following. | |||
| Most of the Conys imported to the US are the 360 Wide series. Finding a Light Truck or Light Van is rare. Most of the 360 Wides imported are the truck and not the van. The top speed of the 360 Wide truck is about 42 MPH. The Light series has a higher top speed and is capable of slow freeway travel. | |||
| All of the Conys imported to the US have non-hardened valves. Using unleaded fuel without a additive will ruin your valves and seats. See the parts page for replacement heads. | |||
| The Cony 360 engine was produced in 2 series. The later series is called a long block and is a much better engine. You can identify the long block by looking at the engine ID number, if the number ends with a B (AE58B) the engine is a long block. | |||
| Original Brake parts for a Cony are impossible to find. We currently have wheel cylinders available for the front and rear but the parts are considered obsolete and nobody is producing them at the moment. Master cylinders and shoes have to be relined. See the parts page for new wheel cylinders. | |||
| The Cony 360 uses a dry sump system to provide oil to the engine. The oil tank is on the drivers side at the front of the bed. Most trucks have an oil filter located at the top of the engine, easily accessible using the cover in the bed. | |||
| The only parts that are readily available for the engine are pistons and rings. Anything else will need to be created by a machine shop. See the parts page for information about pistons and rings. | |||
| Body panels are not available. Occasionally one or two new panels show up. See the Available Now page for any NOS parts that we have. | |||
| Windshields are not available. See the parts page for more information. | |||
